I have been playing golf since I was ten years old. Ever since I started going out to the course with my Dad and learning the game, I fell in love with it. Since then, my goal for playing college golf grew as well as my passion for the game. I quickly realized the commitment, determination, and pure willpower that is needed to succeed. I plan on giving my all to reach this goal.
I am a team leader and try to set an example for others, on and off the course, as well as being a great encourager and I strive to uplift my peers and teammates with positive reinforcement. My strengths in the game include never giving up, even through adversity and always striving to do better. Being focused is what I'm known for and my personality allows me to be coachable to feedback. I love the feeling of contributing to a team.
In the classroom, I also strive to do very well and maintain a 4.0 GPA. I am also actively involved in my school and community, serving on my school's Student Council, Freshman Mentors, National Honor Society, and various volunteer organizations. Throughout High School, every Summer, two times a week, I've volunteered to help coach Elementary and Middle School girl golfers. My goal is to attend a college where I can challenge myself both in academics and athletics. I want to be able to contribute to a competitive golf team. I aspire to become a successful college student athlete and a valuable team member.
