I started seriously playing golf during my eighth grade year. I had been taking lessons and played in some nine hole tournaments only playing a full eighteen right before my freshman tryouts for the team. Since then I have continued to improve and grow as a player and developed a passion for the game. I had played other sports over the years including basketball, softball and lacrosse but golf is where I really feel I belong. When I am on the course it is my time to unplug from all the other things in life.
I am looking forward to continuing to develop my game and playing collegiate golf. I come from a family of division 1 athletes. I have a brother who plays football and a sister that swims. Seeing them in their sports, I understand the commitment of a college sport. I also see how playing in college has helped them in learning time management, team dynamics, and life balance which are all skills that will benefit me in the future. I would be an asset to any team because of my work ethic, coachability, commitment , and my potential to continue to improve. I am strong student and would contribute to the team's academic strength.
Once a coach gets to know me and we develop a relationship, he or she will quickly see the kind of person and player I am and hopefully will want to invest in me to become a part of their team.
