Personal Statement

My name is Ellie Beck-Aden, and I’m in the Class of 2026. I started playing golf for fun when I was 7 years old. I have been the top golfer on the Athens High School Varsity team for my freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons. I finished as Conference Player of the Year Runner Up as a freshman, and I earned 1st team All-Conference and 1st team All-District (D1) honors. For sophomore year, I achieved 1st team All-Conference, 1st team All-District (D1), and TVC All-Academic team. I am very proud that my Junior season was the best one yet. I was the Conference Player of the Year and helped my team to go undefeated and win our team conference championship. I was the Sectional Runner-Up and District Runner-Up, and I became the very first golfer from Athens High School to qualify for the D1 OHSAA State Golf Championship. I achieved 1st team All-Conference, TVC All-Academic team, and 1st team All-District (D1), and I was voted as District Player of the Year Runner-Up by coaches in my district.

Over the past two years, I have challenged myself to improve consistency and to play tougher, multi-day tournaments. I played in US Kids tournaments (18 hole) for four years, and, in 2023 and 2024, I played Hurricane Junior Golf tournaments and Central Ohio Golf Academy (36 holes) tournaments. These experiences have helped me to improve as a golfer, and I’m especially proud of my ability to drive the ball. In five of the last six 18 hole tournaments of the 2024 season, I hit below 80.

I work very hard, and I want to challenge myself to keep getting better. I am currently working on consistency with my short game. As a multi-sport athlete (golf, softball, basketball), I am committed to putting in the work to develop my game. I believe that I am very close to taking my game to the next level, and I look forward to the 2025 season.
