There was a time in my life where I despised golf; I did not want to do it, I was annoyed each time my dad wanted to go out and play, and I never thought that I would love it like I do now. As I improved, it drove me to get even better. This turned me from liking it on occasion--like when I shoot a good score--into me loving it even when I don’t do as well. My dad pushed me, paying for my lessons, taking me out to play as much as possible; he was the one that pushed me into the direction of (hopefully) getting a scholarship. Along with my dad, my friends on the golf team have also inspired me to continue my golf career into college. My desire to attain a scholarship and play for college is growing, and it will not stop until I achieve my goal.
Along with golf, I have been academically challenging myself as I have been taking all AP and honors classes since my freshman year. I have also maintained above a 4.0 GPA throughout high school and have received scholar athlete for my academic achievements. I plan on applying to be on the National Honor Society, and I have also started on paperwork for being a junior mentor later this year. I would also like to go to an art school, and pursue a career in graphic design. I plan on continuing to challenge myself in both academics and golf and hope that it will take me to a school that is a perfect fit.
