Personal Statement

I am not your average recruit because I didn't start playing golf until February of my freshman year (2015).  I began playing golf full-time after my sophomore year.  Since my first high school season, I have lowered my average score by nearly 40 strokes per round.  On most days, driving is one of my strengths, but I continue to work on my short game and putts per round.  I work weekly with the golf pro, James Bell at Rose Creek Golf Club.  I see myself continuously improving and look for my average scores to be in the mid to lower 70s by next spring.

I desire to play golf in college because I have a passion for competing.  I would love to be able to contribute to the success of a team while earning my degree.   I am coachable, hardworking, and a supportive teammate.  I have come a long way in two and a half years, but am confident I have not reached my full potential.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
