Ela Jones '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ela Jones. I am known by most as a hard-working, dedicated, competitive, positive and upbeat individual. My dream is to continue my passion for golf by becoming a student athlete and later a professional golfer.  

I was introduced to golf two years ago and it has quickly become a priority and passion in my life. When I first began playing in tournaments, I was shooting scores consistently over 100 however, with hard work and dedication I am now consistently shooting scores in the low 80’s and high 70's. The competitive game has allowed me to improve my mental toughness, self-discipline and work ethic. Each week I am constantly reviewing mistakes and challenging myself towards bettering every aspect of my game.

I am a strong academic student with grades typically in the 90’s where I enjoy learning new things and am always eager to do so. I plan on majoring in some aspect of the scientific field, and I am looking for a school to further my education while continuing to improve my golf game in a supportive, competitive and enjoyable environment.
