Hi, my name is Olivia DeGori.
I have been playing golf since I was five years old. I started my journey at area golf camps. I enjoyed playing the sport and eventually began playing localized tournaments at a young age. My passion and love for the sport of golf quickly matured into wanting more and searching out competitive golf events and tours to participate in. Playing local tournaments evolved into more competitive events regionally and then eventually national events. I have had the great opportunity to travel all over to play golf. I believe this has helped me be a versatile player. My goal is to be part of a college golf program where I can contribute to a team as well as college community. I have learned and will continue to learn how to manage the game both physically and mentally. I aspire to play at the collegiate level, and I am determined to put forth the work that it will take to achieve it. I know that playing at a college level can be a life changing event for me, and I am dedicated to the task. Playing competitive sports has always been part of my life. I believe that my diverse experiences and work ethic will help me contribute at the colligate level. In addition to golf, I also play lacrosse. I play lacrosse competitively, joining the Moon Area Girls Lacrosse Team during the 2023 season. I am constantly trying to improve myself to be the best that I can be. I am persistent when it comes to academics and my golf game. I have faced difficult pressure situations and learned that staying motivated will help me persevere.
In the classroom, I believe is most important to stay focused on my grades and maintain a high GPA. I was inducted into the National Junior Honors Society. I am a committed student athlete, and I enjoy attending classes, especially in biology and mathematics. I have been fortunate to have a great support system that has shown and instilled in me the hard-working ethics needed to be a successful student athlete. I have a 4.0 GPA.
I love the game of golf, and I want to pursue my goals and dreams of playing in college. I look forward to finding a college that will be a good fit for me both academically and athletically.
I appreciate your consideration and time.
