Personal Statement

I started playing golf at the age of 5 years old. In the beginning, I didn't really like playing golf, i touhgt it was for old people. It is only at the age of 13 years old when my parents registered me in my first tournament that I felt in love with the game. It was at this moment where I found the competitive side of this sport.

This year (2017), I was nominated the "Athlete of the year" for my first year of college at my school. It was the first time  a golf player won this award.

Last year (2016), it was a really successful year for me where I gained a lot of confidence in myself. I won the silver medal in the "Quebec Games" with a 74. I also finished first in the four "Regional tournaments of Quebec". Finally, I was honoured to win the "All Canadian" trophy at the 2016 CCAA  Golf National Championships.  I fired a 74 on my first day of competition at the final RSEQ event and won the bronze medal. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but I also have a great work ethic and a fantastic role model for my team. That is why I'm sure that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team.
