“Although Symone was one of our younger athletes, her maturity and dedication to the team made her almost unrecognizable as a rookie...she was dependable and accepted any challenge with determination.” Courtney Binner, Pom Coach – Recipient, Rookie of the Year, 2019 Centennial Collegiate Athletic Awards Ceremony
I demonstrate strong leadership in various social and athletic settings including being a trampoline athlete, gymnastics coach, and golf teammate. Academic excellence is a priority for me as I work towards completing my high school diploma with a future goal of earning a post-secondary degree.
My interest in golf developed most recently over the past year and a half while spending time with my dad at the golf course. I developed a passion for golf the more I practiced, played the game, and received coaching to develop my skills. Although comparatively new to the sport, I nevertheless accepted the challenge of competing in organized tournaments during my first season of competitive play. I found myself in the role of the underdog, and committed myself to watch and learn from my fellow teammates and competitors. This environment has motivated me to further develop my skills, and I was very fortunate to be selected as a member of Team Saskatchewan and to compete at the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games.
