I am a fiery competitor--in school, golf, and life. I plan to attend an excellent school to study business--most likely accounting since it fits my attention to detail and ability to work with numbers. I'd like for golf to be a part of that journey as well, and I've been working hard the past couple of years to make that possible.
I'm certainly not the most physically gifted athlete you'll encounter--I've always been shorter and smaller than my peers. When I first started at golf, I was always the short hitter and had to make up for it with a good short game. But I believe that it's possible with hard work to turn weakness into strength, and so I began strength and mobility training. In the past year I've gained approximately 12 mph club head speed with my driver, and this has had a big impact on my game. I've gone from being the short hitter at every tournament to one of the longer hitters in my peer group.
I may be a "late bloomer", but all my hard work has started to show up in my scores this past summer. I'm pleased with my progress--but not satisfied. I'm continuing to work hard, and I hope a coach will see the potential I have and welcome me onto a team with like-minded players who value competitiveness, integrity, and positivity.
