Personal Statement

Golf has been an exciting and great challenge for me, but has and is making me stronger mentally and physically. The game has taught me sportsmanship, not only with my own teammates, but with other players as well. I have made many friends over the past years, many were met playing at tournaments. I enjoy being a mentor to younger girls who have watched me play, and are now taking an interest in golf. Golf has helped me with so many other aspects of my life. By learning to focus on my academics, in the hopes of attending college one day and furthering my education. I would like to major in physical therapy or sports management, with the hopes of working with other athletes one day. Playing golf in college would be an honor, to be part of a team working towards the same goal. I look forward to the future, not only to grow as a player, but as a person.

Swing Coach - Ron Krausman

I have been working with Ivy on fundamentals, practice schedule, and course management. As a result of hard work and practice, she has improved by 8 strokes per round in the past year. Approximately 3 weeks ago, she received new custom fit clubs, and is starting to adapt. Ivy has a positive attitude and a determination to succeed.

Ivy and I have been working on her swing fundamentals and course management. We have been striving to be better prepared for tournaments and her senior season. Ivy has improved her 18 hole scoring average by 5 shots over the past 4 months. This improvement has come from her hard work on the range and better course management.
