My name is Arabella Hall. I am excited about moving to the next level in golf and in my life. High school has been the most inspiring environment I have experienced because I have grown into making my own decisions. It was scary at first, and I suddenly learned more about the responsibility of my decisions. I learned about being a teammate, and depending on my peers while carrying the weight of their dependence on me, and I've loved it. I want to play golf at the collegiate level because golf has always been my happy place. Golf challenges me. The pressure of standing alone over the ball focuses me. When I walk the course, I get to forget about everything else. Golf is an escape with a purpose. Golf is a complex sport because a lot of times golf is more mental than physical. Golf has taught me so much about myself and how to stay focused even when things are going downhill. In golf, sometimes it is really hard to stop the bleeding when you have a bad hole, yet it is the most important thing you can do. At state in 2021, I was playing while sick and had a rough first day shooting 92. I went out the next day with clear focus, forgetting day one and doing better than day one. I ended up shooting 79, I was very proud because not only did I accomplish my goal, I exceeded it. I think I would be an asset to any team not only because of my determination but also because of my encouragement and leadership. In my freshman year, I was last on our team. I made it my goal to be a much better player by sophomore year. I improved. I was second on the team by sophomore year. I have maintained and improved my position while inspiring and encouraging my teammates to be better as well. Last year we won regionals for the first time in fifteen years. I would also describe myself as kind because even my competitors ask to play with me because I am encouraging, optimistic, and always try to have a positive attitude.
