My name is Victoria Castro, I am a senior at Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah. I have been playing golf since I could walk. One of my goals has always been to make a university girl’s golf team and see where I could go from there off hard work.
I am currently interested in getting a degree in Physical Education. I have taken CE Sports Psychology and CE Sports Medicine, both were a part of the CE program. My focus will be my education and grades, then second will come college golf. My interest in Physical Education has a lot to do with my experience as a golfer/student at Davis High School. My coach, Lori Salvo has had an important impact on my golf, grades, and growth as a person. She has taught me to work for what I want, on and off the course, she has implanted a mentality I will take into my college years. She has always been a role model for me. Becoming educated in Physical Education, and more importantly, becoming a mentor for the next generation, is something I greatly look forward to doing.
I will meet the requirements in grades and credits to receive NCAA Division l eligibility by graduation in June of 2021.
I have been receiving Professional instruction from PGA Professional and former BYU golfer, Joseph Summerhays. Joseph Summerhays currently is Player of the Year in the state of Utah.
