My name is Grace Trent. I have played golf since I was a little girl because my grandfather taught it at Lord Fairfax Community College. He got me into the sport when I turned 4 but I decided to try out other sports before I focused on one. I played volleyball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, and also participated in horse back riding. I found that golf was the most challenging mentally and physically. I started competing when I was 13 and have loved the sport ever since. I make sure to have a smile on my face even if the round wasn't what I would have liked. I am a very persistent player and always strive to improve. I've found that mentality is one of the biggest parts of not only golf but daily life. It's very easy to give up on an idea or plan throughout the day or match. When I don't play my best I have to remind myself that those days happen, take a deep breath, and make a goal for the next round to become better at my game and mentality.
