For as long as I remember golf has impacted my life in many positive ways. It has brought me opportunities, quality time with family, and lots of happy memories.
I started playing when I was seven years old with my dad. I fell in love with the sport during my freshman year when I began playing competitively and getting to practice everyday. I was playing the number one spot at my school and qualified for districts and then state. This motivated me to be number one in my league and go for that state title.
I have been a five sport athlete throughout high school. During the fall season, I play volleyball and I am also the school mascot. In the winter season I play basketball. In the spring, I play golf as well as unified soccer. During the golf season, I am also very involved with FFA and 4H. So I expect when I'm focused entirely on my golf game along with having the right coaching staff, I will improve significantly. As busy and involved as I have been, I still improve my golf game by ten strokes each year.
Currently, I am enrolled in the Running Start Program at Wenatchee Valley College. This is my second year with full credit loads. I will graduate high school with an AA degree.
It has always been my dream to play golf at the collegiate level. I believe I would be a great asset to a college team. In golf, you can always be better, and I love that. There's always something new to learn and ways to improve.
