My name is Brianna Hadler; I am 5/9" and 165 pounds. I am a Sophomore at Columbia Basin College, and have played varsity golf all four years of high school as well as my first year at community college. During my five previous years of golf I played in the first and second positions on my team. I qualified for state my freshman year and finished 41st out of 80, I qualified for state my sophomore year finishing 39th out of 80. I also qualified for state my junior year finishing 19th out of 80 as well as my senior year finishing 36th. As a freshman I was named honorable mention all-conference and second team all-area. My sophomore year I was awarded second team all-conference. My sophomore year I helped my team achieve second place in The Big Nine conference, second place in our regional tournament, and fourth place in state. My junior year my team and I placed third overall in state and I was awarded first team all-conference and first team all-area for the Big Nine. My senior year I helped my team win the state championship. My first year at Columbia Basin College, my local community college, I took second place in three tournaments and placed in the top five in all but one other tournament. I was named First Team All Conference for the NWAACC and finished 6th place overall in the NWAACC Championships. I have been playing golf competitively since I was nine. I have a strong sense of leadership, and a love of the sport that only improves my drive and determination to progress in the game. My leadership skills came into play my sophomore year as one of the oldest and most experienced members on my high school team because I had to lead and direct an incoming group of freshman and my freshman year at CBC leading an all freshman group of girls. Even at a young age when I was first starting to play golf I knew I wanted to play at the college level. I have continued to work hard through lessons and practice to ensure that my dreams of college golf would be realized when I graduated high school. I am interested in majoring in Nursing and maybe animal science. I have chosen states that have colleges that offer these majors. I am more concerned about obtaining a good education than the size of the school or what division level they might be. My hopes are to play as a competitive member of the team, but over all my desire is to become an active member of a team and to have the greatest positive impact on my team that I can. Even though golf is an individual game on the course, I strongly believe that the team aspect off the course is really one of the most vital components of college golf. Therefore, my wish is to not only help my team grow to be as competitive as can be, but also grow until I myself am as competitive as I can be.
