Winter 2010-2011Personal Statement
Golf is one of my passions. Ever since I was a little girl I have been surrounded by golf. This year as a junior I tied for ninth at the State Championship and our team won the State Cahmpionship title by 30 points. Sophomore year I recieved 15th place but also was awarded MVP of my league and Athlete-of-the-Week in the Tri-City Herald Newspaper. Then my freshman year of high school I made the All-Area First Team and got 13th in State. I have made All-Area First Team and qualified for the State Championship tournament for all three years of high school. I have also played summer Junior tournaments outside of school (such as WJGA) since I was nine. I am a hard worker and am very focused during practices but I love being around my teammates. Having a tight bond with them is very important to me. I am very open to all schools that can give me a good balance between athletics and academics. I am considering majoring in some form of Biology or Zoology. Music and literature are some of my other passions and a big part of my life. I play the piano, guitar, and I love to sing (a couple of links below are available). It is my ultimate goal to play college golf and be a part of the team. I grew up living and breathing golf and hearing about all the accomplishments my father has had in the sport. Now I want it to be my turn.
