When I was around 11 years old my dad introduced the game of golf to me. Through the years I have learned that there are several important factors in golf but a few of the important key items are sportsmanship, to have a level head, and to be humble. Academically I would like to graduate high school with a 3.5 grade point average or higher, I am raised in a home where hard work and dedication is the best way to achieve your goals. During college I would like to continue on a steady learning pace and further my education.
Over the six years that I have been playing golf I have had to overcome a few obstacles, while playing for a high school in California there where not enough girls to make a team so I played on the boys golf team. I won all league but due to the fact that I was a girl I could not proceede and play in districts or state. I also developed tendinitis in my left wrist due to being over flexible in both arms. I have learned due to tendinitis that just because it is there, it does not mean that you have to give up what you want the most. You just have to push through it and make yourself stronger throughout the journey. I believe that the teams success is greater then my personal success and that I understand the game and the struggles that golfers face. Every match I play even if it is a leisure game on a Sunday morning with my Dad or a tournament match I enjoy taking the opportunity to play my best and learn from every experience.
