I love everything about golf!!! The peaceful environment on a golf course feels like a second home. I enjoy practicing my short game and learning how to get the ball in the hole! My confidence has grown as I focus on my game and staying in every match until the last putt drops.
My strong work ethic has led to steady improvement. My high school tournament scoring average has improved from 96.3 to 81.3 since 2015. More important than myself, the greatest measure of success is my team. Battling an injury this year I was still able to push through claiming the title of individual conference champion in the Middle Border Conference for the 2nd consecutive year, which helped push my team to the title for the 3rd consecutive year. With occasional scores of par or better I am just getting a glimpse of what is possible and excited for what’s to come.
My approach to school is similar to golf. My grades are a result of my effort paying off, with a 3.89 GPA while pushing myself with higher level classes. I enjoy school and helping others succeed as well. Currently a member of the Peer Tutoring program as well as the Big Sister/Big Brother program. I also work with the Junior Golf program throughout the summer teaching golf skills, mental game, rules and integrity.
I am excited to compete in college and have been working with Brent Snyder, a PGA Professional who was named one of Golf Digest’s Best Young Teachers, to help get me there. He can be reached at [email protected] if you would like to know more about me, my efforts and my goals.
