My name is Megan Koch and I am very passionate about golf. I spend a majority of my days on the course and at the practice facility constantly trying to improve my game. Golf is a sport where you can spend countless hours practicing only to find out there’s more that needs to be done. Through this understanding of the game, I’ve developed traits such as patients, focus, and determination. Golf has taught me that sometimes you might not get the best break, but you do not give up. This has lead to my outlook on life, my game, and the way I go about my school work.
Academics is just as important to me as golf. I have worked hard to earn a spot on ‘A’ Honor Roll both my years of high school. While taking courses that challenge me, I’ve obtained a GPA of 3.8 and above, even during golf season. I have made these things possible by my work ethic and inner drive to do the best I can. Being inducted into the National Honor Society was because of my hard work, good character and exceptional grades. I will continue to take courses that push me while I work to keep my GPA high. Academics is a major part of my life and will continue to be through college.
As a student-athlete, I am excited to find a school that will challenge me on the course and in the classroom. I believe I am a natural leader that can help a team reach its full potential. To get to where I am today, I have worked harder than I have at anything else and will persist in this mindset and work ethic. I consider myself to be a good asset that can help a golf team and a school.
