Marisa de Groot '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a high energy all around Canadian Elite gymnast with limitless positivity.  I am extremely coachable with a natural ability to stay calm and strive under pressure.  I have been a HP athlete for the past 4 years, but have decided to go JO10 for the next two seasons, as my ultimate goal is to go NCAA.  

As a novice, my debut year, I placed 8 overall in the country and 1st on uneven bars.  At International Gymnix in March 2018 I placed 4 on uneven bars, 6 on balance beam and 11 all around.  I have placed top 15 in Canadian National Championships and at Elite Canada as a HP Novice and Junior.  I was unable to compete the past year as a HP Senior because of Covid (we were unable to train in Canada for 6 months)
