I have been a gymnast for 13 years now and let me tell you it wasn't always easy. My journey was trial and error for most of the time but I still loved the sport and refused to give up when times got tough. I went through a really bad back injure which kept me out of the gym for almost a whole year and I felt like I had to quit. I started to think that gymnastics wasn't the sport for me after all. After my break, I got back in the gym and remembered why I loved the sport so much! My team has also always supported me. I love my teammates and would do just about anything for them. I always try to be positive and keep a good energy around myself so my teammates will also have fun. We are a loud group and one of my favorite things to do is cheer for others. I am very loud and super strong-willed so I don't really know when to give up and in gymnastics thats a good thing. I will really fit in with a college gymnastics team because I love team sportsmanship and I love a challenge. Even when I mess up the first event in a meet, I refresh and start over on the second event and I never give up.
