Personal Statement
- HI! My name is Keedra. I am the regional bars champion! I've been a gymnast since I was 6 years old; and I am a dedicated and focused athlete and student. When its time to do gymnastics or schoolwork, I don't get distracted from what I’m doing. My favorite event is bars; I feel as one with the bar as I do my routines. I assert myself and am looking for a coach that will guide me with positive reinforcement and help me with the little adjustments I need to make to consistently get 9s or better in my routines. I have been to a couple of camps and coaches are always impressed with my clean lines and recommend I learn moves that are more advanced than I am doing at my gym. I balance my gymnastics with my schoolwork. I am homeschooled and attend a charter school; and I have been adding college courses to my high school curriculum. My Gpa is 3.98, and am working to get that to a 4.0 or higher. I have a genuine love for gymnastics and want to continue it into college and beyond. Most importantly, I love the sport, and I'm good at it. I do need a little help past mental blocks on some of my moves; and I make some little mistakes that, if I could figure out how to fix them, I could be a top gymnast. My ideal coach would help me to realize my maximum potential physically and mentally while supporting my academic pursuits to become a criminal investigator.
