Personal Statement

I am so excited to be at this stage in my gymnastic journey.  I have worked so hard over the past 7 years following my passion for gymnastics, succeeding in my competitions and supporting my community.  My teammates and coaches have described me as dedicated, honest and committed, as well as fun loving.  They know I am in this sport for more than just my self-made accomplishments. I believe that I must bring my best every day, and I always encourage my team mates when they are struggling or cheer for them when they excel.  I know that I can only be my best when those around me are working toward their best.  I enjoy coaching younger girls beginning in this sport and sharing the lessons of patience and perserverance that will hopefully lead them to discover their inner talent, as I have done.  I look my challenges in the eye and give them a wink.  My academics have been top notch for many years beginning with honor rolls and moving into AP and honor classes in high school.  I am pursuing a Summa degree, which again is a step above the graduation requirement.  Why settle for basic, when you can achieve great things?  I am looking for a collegiate team and school that I can continue to grow and contribute with my gymnastic skills, passion and pride, while ensuring my academic goals will be prioritized and valued.  I look forward to meeting with coaches, engaging with other gymnasts and working hard to be part of college's prospective recruits.

  • Camp/Event
  • 2019 Ball State University High Performance L9- Elite Gymnastic Camp
  • 9/13/19 to 9/15/19
  • This D1 college training camp provided a great opportunity to work on my twisting skills on floor and beam. The BSU college girls and coaches that provided the instructions were amazing and I was able to improve my floor passes by amazingly gaining height and sticking my twisting passes. Beam coaches worked with me to upgrade series, tumbling and dismounts. I love receiving different perspectives from coaches and other athletes. I find that most are more than willing to provide constructive input when they recognize my efforts are sincere. I have the utmost respect for those who have traveled this journey ahead of me. While my technique is unique to me, I still enjoy understanding what others have found work for them and getting a fresh set of eyes on any improvements I can make.
