Dear Coach,
This is Derin, an 18 years old gymnast with remarkable national and international awards. I am a dedicated and passionate gymnast who also cares about her education. I will graduate from high school in June 2025. My GPA, including 12th grade1st semester is 80/100 which is equal to a 3.00 GPA in the USA system. Now, I am checking all possible universities matching my athletic and academic interests enabling me to start college in Fall 2025.
Taking the advantage, I want to give you some more information about Deniz the Turkish Woman Gymnast. I began gymnastic when I was 5 years old and now I am proud to be a member of National Olympic Gymnastic Team. If you Google my name you will see a statement saying; “She made history by winning the first medal in the history of Turkish gymnastics in the women's category" and I was just 14 years old when I have had this honorable nomination. Even though I’ve attended many competitions locally and internationally, I feel more exhausted now because you are reading my profile. I know very well that choosing the university for my education will not only refine my skills in gymnastics and help me to achieve my Olympics 2028 goal, but will also open the doors to a bright academic career and future for me.
Because I am an elite gymnast, I have a long list of competitions and tournaments with many awards (which you can see in my profile and which I can send you in a seperate email if you want) but here I want to make it simple. Here are the key stats from my performances.
Team Level: L10 - DP Nationals Current
Vault: 12.900 Current
Uneven Bars : 11.733 Current
Balance Beam: 12.533 Current
Floor Exercise: 11.933 Current
All-Around: 49.099 Current
Since I was a very little girl I’ve always dreamt of being a respectable athlete and continuing my athletic and academic career in the USA. As a gymnast, I have won many medals in international competitions that taught me discipline, hard work, and how to overcome challenges. Gymnastics is a like a part of me and I want to continue my training and competing under your esteemed team while studying at your university.
As for the major, I want to study Kinesology and learn more about how the body works and how to improve athletic performance. Besides gymnastics, I play the piano and guitar, and I am also an amateur photographer. These hobbies show my creative side and my ability to balance different interests. I believe that my artistic skills complement my analytical thinking, making me a well-rounded individual and as a person I always believe that we need to have a good heart and respect for everyone.
Sincerely,
Derin Tanriyasukur
