I competed in Xcel team until my junior year when I began Optionals at age 14 as a level 6. I wasn’t sure I could handle the transition but it was the best decision I have ever made. I learned how to give gymnastics my all and am now competing level 8 this year. I have just turned 16 and hope to keep improving as fast as I can and as much as I can so at one point I can compete collegiate. I spend much of my free time outside of practice working out or coming back into the gym on my own, and gymnastics has become such a rewarding and motivating part of my life that I am not ready to leave it behind. I am two years ahead in school and have always made that my top priority, so even if I am not yet advanced enough to compete collegiate I hope to train the next two years and improve enough to get there.
