I’m an Xcel platinum gymnast going into 9th grade. I’m hoping by the time i get to sapphire in my senior year that the system will have changed a bit to be more accepting of recruiting Xcel gymnasts. I love the thought of collegiate gymnastics because of how tight knit the team is and how much team spirit they have. I believe I could be a good candidate to the team because I’m coachable, open minded, friendly, and a good sport. Some hobbies of mine include art, taking care of animals, guitar, wrestling, and school level track and field. Im also a big nature person. Up until I was 10 years old my main field of interest was paleontology. Academics wise, I consider myself somewhat above average. My favorite core subject is English. I think I’m different from other recruits because of my attitude. I believe myself to be diligent and productive but I’m also able to let loose and have a good time with my team. I also think compared to some other recruits, I’m very well rounded. I participate in lots of clubs and events and school sports and also spend time painting and reading at home. My favorite event In gymnastics is bars. I love when I was so scared to do a skill and when I finally do it I realize it wasn’t all that scary. It feels so good. I’m also very body aware, I’m able to avoid most risky falls and the only injury I’ve ever gotten was probably just a sprained foot.
