My future goal for college is to attend a division 1 school with a robust gymnastics program. Aside from the dream of participating in college gymnastics, I see myself studying a degree in the medical/science field. I enjoy learning about how the body functions and how it is connected so I am somewhat interested in the fields of physical therapy, occupational therapy, or chiropractic care.
I believe I would bring passion, hard work, encouragement, and grit to a future college team. I am determined and have overcome so many obstacles throughout my gymnastics career including fractures, illness, COVID shutdown of my gym for six months, and mental blocks. I am coachable and know how to receive and apply constructive feedback to my skills. I love learning new things and realize learning those things don't come overnight. I know it takes many strong characteristics like dedication, hard work, discipline, and effort. I have a relentless desire to be the best and this has been proven by taking first in Region 2 last year as a level 8. I know mental blocks will always be there but having gotten wrapped up in fear in the past, I've learned that there is no fear in love. What makes me different is that I meet fear in the eye and let my love for the sport rise above the fear. I've got goals and I know I can compete with the big kids! That's what makes me different!!
I look forward to hearing from you!!!
