Kaia MacMillan '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kaia and I am a 2026 graduate. I play for North Central Impact U18AA in Leduc Alberta and I am this years' Captain. My love for hockey began at a young age and I am now in my 10th year playing this sport. I initially embraced hockey for the social aspect, but my passion for the sport evolved as I began to develop into a competitor driven to excel both individually and a part of a team. 

I've been fortunate enough to work with dedicated coaches and teammates who have inspired and motivated me to strive for excellence. My coaches have described me as extremely hard working and coachable player who demonstrates leadership on and off the ice.

I would describe myself as an offensive defensemen, that brings size and strength. My strengths are precise passing, strong offensive instinct and effective physical plays, although I am a balanced player that is reliable both offensively and defensively.

As I have progressed through various levels of competition, I have embraced the opportunity to test my abilities and adapt to the evolving demands of elite hockey.

My aspiration is to continue my hockey journey at the NCAA/USport level and contribute both my skills and determination. I am very passionate about the game and am committed to pursuing both athletic and academic excellence, recognizing the importance of balance and discipline in achieving success both on and off the ice. I am focused and driven by the idea of competing at the highest level of hockey, where I strive to not only to develop my own abilities but to also inspire and support my own teammates, along with girls of similar drives and goals. 

I am confident that my dedication and passion for the game make me the perfect candidate to play at an elite level.
