My name is Cianna Ho-Kuang, and I am a driven student athlete, committed to my performance in academics and sports.
Despite a busy hockey schedule, I managed to attain a 3.8 GPA in my first semester of my grade 10 year. For the remainder of the school year, I will work towards exceeding my teacher's expectations to bring my GPA even higher. I am also active in my school community. In the fall I was elected to be the Grade 10 Student Council representative, a role that comes with responsibility and representation. Through my work, I have been able to show leadership at school events and represent the ideas of my classmates at our club's weekly meetings.
Throughout the 2023/24 hockey season, I set a goal to train on and off the ice to be at my physical best. I wanted to be ready for any role my coach needed me to play on the team during the regular season. I am proud to share that our team won the championship banner at the PCAHA playoffs, which gave our team a spot in the BC U18 Female provincial tournament. Our team went undefeated until the semi-final round, which sent our team to the bronze medal game. At the end, we finished the tournament with the bronze medal and memories that will last a lifetime.
My post-secondary aspiration is to continue playing the sport I love at the highest level, while working towards my academic goal to study law.
