My name is Soleil Tanaka. I am 16 years old and in my junior year of high school. I have been playing hockey since I was 5 years old. I played tier 1 female hockey for 3 years and female major midget AAA hockey for the last 2 years. I am a physical, reliable stay at home defense man who is known for making quick, smart plays. Coaches have described me as being an extremely hard working and very coachable player. Away from the rink, I am a conscientious student who is able to maintain a 4.0 GPA while balancing an very heavy academic course load with hockey. During the off season I play U18 soccer, varsity ultimate Frisbee, and work out with my trainer 3-4 days a week. I also enjoy hiking, camping, swimming, and being around friends and family.
My collegiate goal is to earn an excellent education while playing highly competitive hockey.
