Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I am excited to continue my hockey career at the college level. I currently play tier 1 AAA ice hockey and I am extremely passionate about the sport. I am an all around athlete and have played multiple sports on both boys and girls teams. These include baseball, softball, volleyball, track, and dance. I have played club soccer two levels up at the A/B level for 8 years. I continue to play club while now playing varsity for my high school. I am most passionate and focused on pursing my college career in ice hockey. Playing college hockey is extremely important to me; however my academics are always my first priority. I am enrolled in all honors and AP classes and have been recognized for my academic achievements multiple times. I am an exceptional student who balances school and athletics. I am involved in a multitude of clubs including Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honors Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Link Crew, Desire to Lead, and Illinois Human Performance Project. I am also passionate about serving in the community and I often volunteer at food shelters and at my church. One thing that coaches and teachers always notice about me is my drive to compete and hard work ethic. Some areas where this is noticeable:
-I was invited to Central Districts Camp. I had a very successful week and took on a leadership role with girls I had just met. My team finished second and I scored two goals.
- As a freshman, I started on my school's varsity soccer team at center-mid and led my team to an undefeated conference season. During my second varsity season I was named captain and was nominated All Conference as well as All Sectional Honorable Mention.
-In both 7th and 8th grade track and field, I set my school record for discuss. I won conference, sectionals and competed at State Finals.
-In middle school, I was accepted into National Junior Honors Society and was elected President, leading one of the most successful years of NJHS in our school's history.
-One of my core attributes is my coachabilty. I enjoy being coached, taught and pushed to achieve my and my teams top goals.
-I am a captain of both my hockey and soccer team where I serve as a leader making those around me better.
These are a few of my accomplishments and strengths. I continue to strive to achieve many more. I always aspire to help lead my teams to victory but winning does not come without work. When my teams have struggled in the past I am a leader using my voice and actions to help our team develop on and off the ice. My teammates often recognize my leadership, sportsmanship, and determination in all the sports I do. I hope to play hockey at the collegiate level and I do not lack the characteristics needed to be a successful college student-athlete. I want to inform you that I am considering taking a gap year to continue playing AAA and completing some local classes to get started on my medical degree. Thank you for reading my profile!
