My brother and father introduced me to hockey when I was 6 years old. I have been a captain for the Vikings Youth Hockey Club 14u, an assistant captain for the Chicago Fury AAA 16u, and a captain for St. Jude Knights 19u. I believe I am a good leader because I lead by example and I have a positive attitude. I am a hard worker, and I love to push myself and others to be better athletes and teammates.I strongly believe that if someone doesn't train at 100%, then they won't play to their best ability in a game. So, give it my all in practices to make sure I give it my all in games. When I get constructive feedback, I make sure to fix them. I believe I would be a great asset to any team because I have a good vision of the ice as a center and I have been told I am very coach-able. School is very important to me, so I make sure I work hard to get good grades.
I look up to Kendall Coyne. I have heard her talk and I have attended her camp more than once. She shares a lot of information on what it takes to be a competitive athlete. Kendall has been cut from teams because of her diversity from other players, and she didn't let that get her down. I feel like I am very different from the rest because I am always thinking about getting better, and I am always thinking about my next step to be a student athlete. I help my friends when they don't understand school work, I babysit, and I get good grades, all while trying to get better and stronger with my hockey skills.
