Hello,
I’m Winnie Moriarty, an 8th-grade hockey player from Westfield, IN, and I served as captain of the 14U Girls Indiana Elite ice hockey team (#96) this past season. Growing up in a basketball-loving state, I take pride in playing at the highest level for girls’ hockey in Indiana. As a versatile forward, I primarily play Center, but I’m always ready to step into any role that helps my team succeed.
Off the ice, I am a full member of the National Junior Honor Society, have written for my school’s online newspaper, competed in Spell Bowl, and served my school and community through the Builders Club. These experiences have reinforced my commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and service—qualities I bring to my role as captain. Elected by my teammates, I take pride in setting a high standard, supporting my team, and leading with integrity.
I am incredibly excited to take the next step in my academic and athletic journey at Culver Girls Academy, where I will begin in Fall 2025. This opportunity represents an exciting challenge—one that I embrace with the same dedication and drive that I bring to the ice.
My goal is to play college hockey, fueled by my love for the game and a relentless drive for improvement. I am coachable, resilient, and willing to do whatever it takes to help my team succeed. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to the opportunity to bring my skills, leadership, and passion for hockey to your program.
Sincerely,
Winnie Moriarty
