Hello, I’m Winnie Moriarty, an 8th-grade hockey player from Westfield, IN, and captain of the 14U Girls Indiana Elite ice hockey team (#96). Growing up in a basketball-loving state, I’m proud to play at the highest level for girls’ hockey in Indiana. As a versatile forward, I primarily play Center, but I’m always ready to step into any role that helps my team succeed.
Off the ice, I’m a probationary member of the National Junior Honor Society, have written for our school’s online newspaper, competed in Spell Bowl, and served my school and community through the Builders Club. These experiences have taught me discipline, leadership, and a commitment to both academics and service—qualities I bring to my role as captain. Voted into this role by my teammates, I’m dedicated to setting a high standard, supporting each of them, and leading with integrity.
My ambition is to play college hockey, driven by my love for the game and a dedication to continuous improvement. I pride myself on being coachable, resilient, and willing to do whatever it takes to support my team.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to the opportunity to bring my skills, leadership, and passion for hockey to your program.
Sincerely,
Winnie Moriarty
