Personal Statement
I am a 17 year old Scottish girl, who has played hockey since 2010. There are no women's team in Scotland, so have played boy's hockey from the age of 8 and men's hockey once I turned 15. In 2017 I also signed up to play for my nearest women's team in England, which is a 600 mile round trip. A normal away game is 800 miles. This shows the commitment I am prepared to make to women's hockey.
I play at the highest women's level possible in the UK and played in the 2018 & 2019 IIHF U18 World Championships for Great Britain. The GB team won Bronze in 2019 and I scored in the 4-2 win in the deciding game. I have been selected for a third year and will be playing in Poland in Jan 2020.
I'm very athletic and enjoy all sports. I've represented GB Women's U18 in two Inline Hockey World Championships too.
I'm in my final year at school and attained good grades in my 4th and 5th year exams.
It has always been my ambition to play College hockey in North America and I have based my studies around this.
