Track is my favorite part of school, It is the thing I look forward to the most and it is something I do not want to lose after I graduate. As a numbers driven person I struggled to find a sport that gave the satisfaction of getting better. I've tried a number of sports since I was 6 years old and nothing has clicked like track did. In every other sport success is arbitrary, you could make multiple mistakes but have one great play and your team would mark it a success. In track you either PR or you don't. Your coaches are able to tell you exactly what you did wrong and how to fix it because your actions are not dependent on other people. This success applies to academics as well, you get a good grade or you don't. It can also be applied to music in a way, if one person makes one mistake during a performance, the whole audience notices it. Having little room for mistakes pushes me to take the things I care about seriously and encourages me to make every moment count in the classroom and on the track.
