Helen Zeaske '26 Recruiting Profile

As a Junior, I am working hard to earn the opportunity to be a student-athlete and play hockey at the college level. I am entering my 3rd year as starting goalie and 4th year playing Varsity hockey. For the first 5 games of my Northfield Mount Hermon 24-25 NEPSAC season, I have started all 5 games and seen an average of 52 shots per game.  Our NMH team is rebuilding this year with a new coach and I anticipate seeing a high number of shots while improving my rebound control and puck handling this season. For ‘24 Fall U19 club season, I posted a SVP of 93.5% for the twelve games of Fall 2024 season with 4 shut-outs as the only goalie for the U19 NS Wings Red (hybrid schedule of Tier 1/2 teams). We played in the Massachusetts State Championships (92.1% SVP, 6 games with 3 OTs, 1 shut out), placed 2nd, and will be going to U19 Nationals in April 2025. In my 23-24 Varsity season as a sophomore starting goalie at NMH, I saw 30-60 shots per game against some of the top shooters at the high school level. I ended the season with a 89% SVP, an All-Conference (Vaillancourt Conference) and All-League (NEPSAC) Honorable Mention, and the 10th best SAA% in NEPSAC conference in my first year starting in goal. I have trained year round with Ed Walsh Goaltending School for the last six years and am a part of their Elite summer program.  At school, I play volleyball (Captain of Thirds, and Coaches Award Winner) and lacrosse (Varsity, Goalie). At NMH, I serve as a Tour Guide, Residence Leader, and Writing Tutor. As I look at colleges, academics are a top priority for me and my unweighted GPA is 3.96/4.0 with High Honors. In high school, Advanced US History and Honors Spanish are my favorite subjects and I hope to study History and Ancient Civilizations in college. I look forward to continuing to put in the work it takes to grow as a student and a goalie in the coming years.
