Personal Statement

I am a hardworking student athlete who is looking for a D1 commitment to play college hockey. I am a 2020 goaltender, but would be willing to red shirt or take a gap year to continue development and secure the right DI spot. I have been working very hard on my skill and strength. At the 2018 CCM Tournament (Detroit) my team the K-Stars went 6-0-0 to win the AA 16u championship. I also compete in track & field. As a sophomore I achieved Regional and Conference Champion in discus for D3, Region 30. I then went on to place 7th in discus for Michigan D3 States. I am very self-disciplined, work hard every day, and take great pride in motivating my team mates to achieve their best. I received a captain’s award from my hockey coaches last season and will be girls co-captain for my track team again this coming season. I feel that I am physically, academically, and mentally prepared for the demands of being a successful college athlete.
