In 2015 I came runner up at states, but was still lucky enough to to go to Nationals. In 2016 I won the Michigan Girls tier 2 State Champiomship and went to Nationals again which has been the highlight of my hockey career. I grew most in my 2016-2017 year of hockey. My team did not win a game and going from winning a lot to losing was a big change. I feel that this made me a stronger and better person because some people chose to quit, others chose to not show up, but I personally went out there every time and worked as hard as I could to make myself better and prepare for the next year. This separated me from everyone else and made me feel like a better person to this day. In 2018 I came runner up at States again, but was still lucky enough to go to Nationals. We did not end the season how we wanted to and ended up losing in the quarterfinals to the team that won it all.
I was fortunate enough to be on a winning team my first couple years of hockey. Which taught me teamwork, commitment, and drive. These last two years have taught me leadership as I was awarded assisitant captain. I am looking for a school that will give me the ability to play hockey, but also where I can pursue my academic career. I believe I have the talent, the character, the dedication, and the leadership to play at the college level.
