Hockey isn't just a sport to me; it's a part of who I am. I laced up my first pair of skates in January of 2021and haven't looked back since. Whether I'm at center ice or flying down the wing, my heart is in every play—but playing center is where I truly shine.
This season threw a curveball my way when I had an unexpected wrist injury, putting me out for a little over two months. It was tough to see something I did everyday change so suddenly, but it's only made me more determined to chase my dream of competitive college hockey. I was fortunate to be back for the last few months of the season, wining every battle, and giving my all.
When I'm not on the ice, I'm still all about hockey, putting in at least 45-90 minutes a day working on my stick handling and shooting. My goal? To nail 300 shots each day and keep getting better. To eventually play NCAA Division 1.
School's just as important as hockey. I've hit a 3.76 GPA and I'm not stopping there. I'm ready for the challenge of AP courses next year because I know it'll take both brains and skill to make it.
I'm all about teamwork, encouraging my team, and personal determination. I can't wait to see where my skates take me next
