Personal Statement

Academics:

I enjoy high school and learning.   I started taking (AP) Advanced Placement and Honors classes very early and I am grateful that I have continued to take those more challenging classes.  It has taught me the importance of being organized, working hard and remaining disciplined.

Character, Athletics:

As an athlete you can count on my hard work, competitiveness and desire to win the hockey battles.  I play my best hockey by doing the little extras needed to beat my opponent.  Whether it's being quicker than my competition to get loose pucks or stronger and more physical to win the battles in front of the net or boards, I always give 150% effort.  There are always flashy hockey players on every team that are frequently more concerned about their own personal agenda than the teams but that's not me.  I have a team first mentality.  I play a fast and intelligent hockey game while remaining supportive and unselfish to my teammates.

I would describe myself as a very good skater, first to the puck and winning most battles by using my speed and strength.  I enjoy the physical part of the hockey but always play a clean game and don't loose my cool.  I'm an offensive minded defense player looking to make plays on offense but understand my first responsibility is playing good defense stopping my opponent from making any plays. I'm fortunate to have good hockey sense and vision on the ice helping my team to win games.

Sincerely yours,

Halle Fields
