If you asked any one of my coaches what type of athlete I am they would describe me as dedicated, hard-working, confident, passionate, and coachable. Being part of a hockey team is something I've taken pride in and I always strive to not only make myself better, but my teammates as well.
I am skilled at reading bodies/sticks, tracking and controlling rebounds, quick edge work, and having an all-around positive mindset to be a strong leader. Another strength of mine is that I am good at communicating with my teammates to make the most out of every play. I am strong at playing the puck behind the net and setting it up to make a breakout or play.
I believe that with the top of the line training that I have participated in I am much stronger and smarter than the average goalie. I have trained with programs such as Stauber's Goalcrease, Premier Goaltender Development, Dave Peterson Goalie Camp, and have worked with many college or retired-professional goalies. I have also had D1 players on my high school and summer teams that I often play with and keep up with them quite well. A routine off-ice workout would include weight lifting, lateral movement, plyometrics, abs, cardio, and hand-eye coordination. Nutrition comes hand in hand with working out. I consume the right foods for recovery, energy, and muscle building.
My life outside of hockey is mostly spent outside by the pool, hanging out with family/friends, boating, reading, or doing other things outdoors. Pond hockey is a must during the winter time! I love doing anything that just keeps me active. However, a girl has got to save time for the latest Grey's Anatomy episode Thursday nights......
I am confident that I will be a standout player on any team. My character, work ethics, and enthusiasm will take a team to the next level.
