Molly Goergen '21 Recruiting Profile

I was born in St. Louis Park, Minnesota in March of 2003 and have been active all my life. I have always loved sports. Growing up I played soccer and began playing hockey at age four. From the first game I strapped on goalie pads, at seven, I have loved the position. The next year I began playing two years up (played U10 as an eight year old, U12 at ten, and U15 at twelve) for the Eden Prairie club teams until 9th grade, when I transitioned to the high school girls varsity team, backing up the senior goalie. I played one game and won as a 9th grader, eventually going to state as a backup. I also played high school soccer that year.

In 2019-20 I started all 28 games going 20-7-1 and in 2018-19 I started 22 games going 13-7-2. In both seasons our team lost the section championship to go to state. In the off season I work out, skate, and play with an elite girls tournament team. When not playing sports I enjoy making pottery, working outdoors for a local arboretum part-time, and babysitting for neighbors. I have two older brothers (19 and 18) and we vacation at the lake or in Colorado where I can hike. I really enjoy school and am looking forward to my junior year this fall.
