I love to play hockey. Hockey has given me so much to be thankful for in my life. Hockey has taught me to have confidence, honesty, integrity and how to be a team leader. Most importantly, I feel gratitude for everything hockey has allowed me to accomplish. Gratitude for the opportunities I have been afforded and gratitude to my family (especially my parents) for encouraging me to keep working hard and getting better. Hockey has allowed me to achieve my dream of playing in special places all over the world. My dream of playing on a Selects team was realized at the age of 12. Playing for Selects has also given me the chance to celebrate a world championship in Bolzano, Italy during the 2018 World Selects Invite.
I have had to overcome a few obstacles for hockey. My twin brother and I have always played together until age 13. It has been quite an adjustment - both in the style of the game, and not having my twin with me. I miss playing with my brother, but we are still very supportive of each other on and off the ice. I have also had to adjust to the recent passing of my coach and mentor, John Vigilante. John was an inspiration and someone who was always there for me in all aspects of the game. He is greatly missed, and I will always play the game with the passion and intensity John taught me to have.
My goals for the future are improving my game and improving myself as a person. Academics are very important in our home. Hockey has taught me to manage my time for homework and other activities. I pride myself on being organized and using my time wisely to maintain my demanding schedule. I look forward to continue playing high level AAA hockey and attending college in the future.
