I come from a long line of college athletes so I know the hard work and dedication it takes to play college athletics. My grandfather and several of my great uncles played Men's Hockey for the Minnesota Gophers. My father played Men's Hockey at Augsburg College and my mother played Women's Tennis at the University of Minnesota Duluth. I started playing hockey at the age of four and have loved the game ever since. I started my hockey career in Minnesota where I played until age 8, then we moved to Illinois where I played until age 12. We moved back to Minnesota in 2012 where I am currently continuing my hockey career. Throughout the years I have accomplished many goals within hockey such as getting to play on several championship teams, skating for Premier Prep, and playing varsity as a freshman. This spring/summer I trained at OS Hockey and Acceleration North. I have always had the dream of playing college hockey. To achieve that goal I have been working very hard on and off the ice. I strength train and work out year round both on and off the ice to develop my game to its highest potential.
I not only want to aspire and succeed on the ice, but in the classroom as well. I am a strong student placing within the top 25% of my class with a cumulative 3.685 G.P.A. I am currently taking several college courses to challenge myself as well as prepare myself for the future.
Failure is not an option for me, so no matter what I am doing I put in 110% to make sure that I am being the best that I can possibly be. For me hockey isn't just a game, it is a part of who I am. I am willing to do whatever it takes, whenever I need to, so that I can strive and one day reach my goal. I would make a great addition to any team and school due to the fact that I will work hard, never give up and I will commit myself to excellence.
