Makenzie Johnson '22 Recruiting Profile

I love the game of hockey and I have developed lots of hockey sense and life skills over the years I have played.

I believe that I am a very coachable player. When I play the game I’m hardworking and motivated. I also believe that I am a team player, which to me is very important.

I am a senior in high school. This is my fifth year playing for the high school team. Four years ago I played as an eighth grader. I played the first couple of games on the JV team then played the rest of the season on Varsity.  I have been on Varsity ever since. This past season I was a captain. 

Besides the game of hockey, I love to focus on my academics. I went to a Spanish Immersion elementary and have continued my Spanish through middle school and now high school, I am currently fluent in Spanish. 

Hockey is not the only sport that I have played. All through middle school I played volleyball and I ran track. In the summer I play for a slow pitch softball league. The past three years I have decided to rejoin soccer as a goalie. I also decided to join the ultimate frisbee team at my high school, but through playing all these sports hockey has been my favorite.
