Most of my hockey career has been spent playing with the boys, in fact this season will be the first time not playing with them. I never considered leaving because I loved being the only girl on the team, but then I was added to the 2019-20 NAHA U16 roster. For five months I boarded, attended school and was coached by the best. My experience at the North American Hockey Academy was amazing. It was there that I learned the true meaning of teammates and camaraderie. I was inspired and pushed daily. I proved to myself that I could take on the demands of a college student-athlete. Most importantly, I learned a lot about myself and I truly believe my experience is helping me navigate my future.
