Grace Matthews '24 Recruiting Profile

I am the happiest when I am on the ice.  I love everything about hockey. I love the early morning practices, the challenging games, wins and losses, my teammates and coaches.  I have met lifetime friends playing a sport I love.  I believe hard work and a positive attitude is important.  I believe you support all your teammates including taping the pads of the goalie on a great save or tough goal, high fives to teammates when they come on the bench, thank you to every coach and ref.  I have been playing this sport since I was three years old. I have had some amazing coaches along the way.  I believe you need to trust the system and coach.  My current coach Jamie Smith is one of the greatest advocates  a player can have.  She is there for me in sports, school and life.  She helps me working out to build muscle.  I love to work hard both on and off the ice. Brewster is the most amazing place for hockey and academics for me. I have grown as a student and player.  I look forward to the next two years of high school and I hope your school is willing to give me a chance.  Thank you so much for taking the time to read my statement.
