My college goals are to study either biomedical or criminal science. I am interested in exercise science, physical therapy, or nursing. My plan is move on to working in a hospital, clinic, or a lab while earning a masters degree. I will narrow down my choice depending on how high school science classes go and my exploration of electives, as I find all sciences fascinating. In academics I am focused, keep up with my assignments, and don't get distracted from my work easily. I am a good candidate for your college because I am very dedicated, loyal, and driven.
I stand out on the ice because of my ability to read the play and help my teammates to secure a win. I can play both offensive and defensive positions, and I will do anything to support my team on and off the ice.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic I was committed to improving my overall fitness. I trained first off-ice via Zoom and then on-ice as soon as rinks opened for coach-led clinics. I have trained under coaches who play on NWHL teams and with former Olympians. Coaches have often told me I am very coachable. I also go to the gym to strength train three days a week. Every moment on the ice is a chance to make a difference, to support my team, to improve my skills, to do what brings me joy.
I have played on my High School Team since freshman year. It is a boy's team as my school does not offer girls ice hockey, and since this year I am a senior, I will play on varsity and will earn a varsity letter. My JV team won it's division last year 2021-2022. I played with Montclair Blues Girls 19U AA for one season. They were not able to field a team for 2021-22. My current club team is NJ Rockets, I've been playing with them since spring 2022. I am on the Girls 19UA team, and when needed, played up during the spring on the AA team.
