My love for the game of hockey dates back to when I was a toddler, and my parents introduced me to the New Jersey Devils. Since then, my passion has only intensified. The past 7 years of my life have been scheduled around hockey games and practices, but I would not have it any other way. While hockey has played an incredible role in my life, it is not my only focus. My commitment to my academics is unmatched; I have maintained straight A's in schedules loaded with high level courses. My work ethic allows me to balance my life on the ice and in the classroom, as well as saving room for being social.
As a player, my most notable attribute is my hockey IQ. I have a very strong understanding of the game, and I am positionally sound. My ability to read situations allows me to make plays and get into open space. My coachability is also something that I bring to the table. I am able to listen to feedback and apply it immediately as best as I can. As a result, my relationships with my coaches contribute largely to my success and happiness in a program.
As a teammate, I do my best to lead and help others. I bring fire and energy to the locker room, while also using my sense of humor to create a fun environment that includes everyone.
Overall, my well-roundedness makes it easy to assimilate into many different settings and groups of people.
